Please briefly tell us about yourself and your position in the project.
I have been test rider for new models at Suzuki International Europe for eight years. As a motorcycle technician and former endurance racer, I was well prepared at that time for this exciting job.
Also with the new V-Strom 1000 ABS, I was involved from an early stage in its development together with my French test rider colleague. Up to the final setting of the new model we supported our Japanese colleagues by giving feedback and suggestions for improvements regarding the different requirements of the new model.
As European test rider, what kind of factors is important in the Adventure touring model?
I believe that in this category the highest demands are made on a motorcycle. We simply expect everything from this segment: handling, rideability, long-distance comfort, sportiness, and some off-road capability and a good level of equipment. The complete package must be on a very high level.
